Watch out for the wolf in custodian’s clothing!

Miley Cyrus superfan Anthony Skinner claims to have sneaked backstage after her Bangerz show Friday at Sydney’s Allphones Arena while he was disguised as a cleaner. The 23-year-old club promoter even Instagrammed a selfie wearing the neon yellow safety vest he purportedly wore to get past security undetected.

Skinner tells BBC’s Newsbeat he was in the arena’s parking lot when he noticed a cleaner’s storeroom door was open. “I looked around and on the floor there’s a pair of boots, and on the couch there’s this hi-vis vest,” he said.

“My mindset was ‘See how far you can take this’,” he said. “It wasn’t planned at all. Everything just fell into place so perfectly.”

Skinner put his belongings into “a wheelie bin,” which he then pushed back down the ramp in the loading bay and past a security team he claims “didn’t even look at me.”

“I had that realisation that I was in,” he said. “I just thought ‘Play this cool, play this cool.'”

Skinner tells BBC’s Newsbeat he saw “50 to 100″ staff members taking apart Cyrus’ Bangerz set before he headed to the green room. “There was music blaring from there,” he said. “I could hear it down the end of the hallway.”

So what’d he do from there? “I just started emptying bins, sweeping up the floor and stuff,” says the fan. “I’m cleaning up for about 40 minutes to an hour. Not pretending to clean up, actually cleaning.”

Finally, Skinner says a security guard told him to stand in a doorway as they “surrounded” Cyrus so she could leave the venue safely. “My whole brain just emptied. I saw her and froze. All I could get out was ‘Hey’. She looked at me, smiled and just kept walking.”

Earlier on, Skinner says he gave “pretty much my favorite jacket of all time” to a member of the singer’s tour, who assured him it would be passed along to Cyrus.

“If I did actually meet her I wouldn’t have anything left to do. I’d have to come up with a whole new goal,” he admits.

He tweeted a picture of the note (with his contact details) he planned to give to Cyrus “if I got close enough during the show.”

“I probably wouldn’t call me,” says Skinner.

He tells BBC’s Newsbeat he has not been contacted by Allphones arena. The venue did not immediately respond to E! News’ request for comment.

Miley Cyrus proved to be an agony aunt for Ariana Grande after the star was left hurt about the fact that she was branded a diva. And it appears that Miley, who found fame from a young age thanks to the phenomena that was Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana, said all the right things.

Ariana, who was targeted with claims that she was behaving like a diva recently amid the claims that her life coach quit because he couldn’t “take it anymore” in terms of her alleged behaviour, opened up to how she felt about the tag and revealed that she sought advice from Miley about what to do. According to the Mirror, the ‘Problem’ hitmaker recalled the conversation she had, saying: “I was upset and I contacted Miley. I said, ‘Miley, I’m so sad – what do I do? This isn’t true. My heart is broken, I feel so bad’. She was like, ‘Girl, don’t even look at it. Just be happy that you’re blessed. You have family and friends love you, you have fans that love you who know what’s true and what’s not’.”

Ariana went on to remember: “She added, ‘It will blow over and tomorrow they’ll be talking about something else.’ She lives for love and that’s something I do too. She has a beautiful spirit and she made me feel so much better.”

Understanding that rumours and claims will come and go, Ari, who recently confirmed her romance with Big Sean, said: “It’s hard, but it’s something that’s going to blow over. I try to separate my personal brain space from this. Whether it’s good or bad, there’s usually very little truth to what’s being said about me.

“I’ve been acting since I was 14. For this to come up so randomly was funny. And as someone who doesn’t take themselves seriously at all, it was left-field for me to see that stuff. Honestly, it’s fine, it’s blown over.”

And there was no sign of any diva behaviour when the star posed with fans and signed autographs during a visit to Paris.

Miley Cyrus isn’t always straddling plastic penises and causing chaos on her Bangerz Tour. Sometimes, Ms. Cyrus likes to slow it down a little.

That’s why Miley covered Jeff Buckley’s “Lilac Wine” in Melbourne. On Monday, she released the live version on her SoundCloud. Prepare to be blown away.

It’s certainly no “We Can’t Stop.” While I like both sides of Miley, it’s refreshing to be lifted from her go-hard, party-all-the-time vibe to see her getting back to her roots. She previously covered this song in her Backyard Sessions in the days before Bangerz. This one seems more free from mixing, trimming and smoothing, and Miley seems to like it more, tweeting that she’s “evolving.”

She speaks with the smooth, adjective-heavy confidence of many young stars. Indeed, she graduated from a similar tween finishing school to the Disney alumna Miley Cyrus – two Nickelodeon TV programmes, Victorious and Sam & Cat, ensured the inevitable pop career had a ready-made fan base. Unlike Miley, Grande courts no such wanton controversy. But they do have much in common, not least their age and their hypoglycaemia. Grande didn’t know that Cyrus also has the condition and says that her low blood-sugar levels have improved since she went vegan. Having interviewed Cyrus, I tell her that, in conversation, they share a similarly speedy speaking style and sparky manner.

‘I love her so much,’ Grande beams. ‘She’s a beautiful soul.’

Does she think Cyrus is transitioning well from her teen career to the adult world?

‘Absolutely. She’s so authentic, and so unapologetic,’ she says of Cyrus, who has been open about her love of marijuana and who recently stepped out during New York Fashion Week in little more than nipple pasties. ‘It’s great. She’s so happy. That’s something to be celebrated. People get mad at her for being herself. But she’s happy. And they,’ she adds pointedly, ‘are probably not.’

She may be known for her outrageous antics, but Miley Cyrus insists that she isn’t a bad role model.

The 21-year-old singer has hit back at those who claim her new (well, it’s not that new anymore) image wasn’t appropriate for her younger fan base by insisting that above all she is always polite – unlike some of her fellow female peers.

Just WHO could she be talking about?!

Speaking to Yahoo 7 TV’s Sunrise Australia today, Miley explained her ethos on how she treats others.

She said: “It really doesn’t bother me when people say I’m crazy because I am! My dad has always taught me that it should always be about the way you treat people.

“There are many girls that I know who are in this industry who come out, sit like this, and be all polite, but in person, they’re not so polite and they’re not so kind.

“I hope all the time, I’ve heard that it is, that my reputation is a good one. I say hello to everybody and I treat everybody the same. I actually treat people at the bottom of the list much better than the people at the top because the people at the top already have enough people sucking up to them.”

Hear, hear, Miley!

The We Can’t Stop singer also opened up about coping with fame – explaining that it doesn’t affect her because she’s been around it for so long.

“I grew up in this world so fame and money and knowing what they give you, which isn’t a lot even though people think it is a lot, I think people get really wrapped up,” she explained.

“At the end of it people can be the most famous and rich people in the world and have all this stuff but they’re not really that happy. And so I just decided that about a year ago my whole life’s goal was just to be happy all the time.

“Unfortunately it’s hard. I was telling my fans the other day that if you’re sad just live in that moment and be sad.

“It can be something that is internal and you can work through it. Everyone is just trying to rush out of their emotions. If you’re feeling good, feel good. If you’re feeling sad just be in it. Even though it’s cheesy just be in the moment.”

We have to say, we are loving this side of Miley. Good on you, girl!
